WePlay Esports Promotes Oleh Humeniuk to CEO – The Esports Observer|home of essential esports business news and insights

Esports media holding company WePlay Esports has promoted Oleh Humeniuk to chief executive officer, effective immediately. Humeniuk joined the company in June 2019 to serve as the general manager of the company’s European office. Oleh has more than 11 years of experience in IT infrastructure project management for government and business institutions.

WePlay also announced that managing partners Oleg Krot and Yura Lazebnikov will focus on growing the company’s business presence in Asia and the Americas, developing its ecosystem, and attracting new investments; and that General Manager Maksym Bilonogov will take on the role of chief visionary officer.

WePlay organizes tournaments in Western Europe and CIS, with a focus on Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitions. The company recently announced its first fighting game competition, the $60K USD WePlay Dragon Temple, featuring Mortal Kombat 11.
