HTC Vive’s Black Friday Deals Have Begun, Discounts & Half-Life: Alyx Free – VRFocus

Black Friday may not officially start until the end of this week but that hasn’t stopped Amazon and other retail outlets getting the ball rolling early. That also includes HTC Vive, with the company rolling a bunch of new deals discounting the Vive Cosmos as well as offering free videogames.

For those after new virtual reality (VR) hardware, HTC’s Vive Cosmos gets £100 GBP slashed from its regular price across three variations.

  • Vive Cosmos – Now £599 (previously £699)
  • Vive Cosmos Elite – Now £799 (previously £899)
  • Vive Cosmos Elite (HMD only) – Now £449 (previously £549)

In addition to the monetary savings, customers purchasing either of the Cosmos Elite deals will get a free copy of the award-winning Half-Life: Alyx for free. You can also get a free copy of the title with any purchase of the Vive Pro Full Kit or the Vive Pro Eye – £1,119 and £1,299 respectively, no discount.

Whether you’re an HTC Vive customer or not, Viveport’s Infinity subscription service has been discounted by 15%, with all new and existing annual subscribers able to claim a free copy of multiplayer ghost hunter Phasmophobia.

Finally, if you’re looking for an entire PC and VR headset solution then the AORUS 15G laptop bundles announced back in September are on sale.

  • AORUS 15G Cosmos Bundle, now £2,289 (originally £2,549)
  • AORUS 15G Cosmos Elite Bundle, now £2,459 (originally £2,749)

All of the aforementioned offers are available now until 27th November apart from the Viveport deal, you’ve got until 30th November for that one. All of the Vive Cyber Week deals are available online at vive.com as well as select retailers Amazon, Box.co.uk, Currys Scan and Overclockers.

As for other ongoing VR deals, announced last week for the anniversary of Oculus Link, any new purchases of an Oculus Quest 2 until the end of Jan 2021 would get a copy of Asgard’s Wrath – so long as you’ve got a PC to run it on of course.

Expect more VR deals to be announced in the run-up to Black Friday. When they do VRFocus will let you know.
