MSI and Uconnect Partner for Collegiate Esports Programs – The Esports Observer

Esports organizer Uconnect Esports and PC gaming hardware company MSI are partnering to bring their combined services to the collegiate esports space. The two will launch MSI Student, a new program supporting “collegiate esports events, organizations, and on-campus esports facilities.” In addition, the program includes a broadcasting internship initiative providing students paid internships working on professional events alongside industry mentors.

To get the program off the ground, MSI is launching an MSI Student Discord–the first stage in MSI’s scholastic program efforts. Through MSI’s sponsorship of Collegiate Rising Winter– Uconnect’s digital esports summit–the new Discord server will host Collegiate Rising’s Career Fair on Jan. 9.

MSI, a major sponsor in the collegiate esports space, has already partnered with schools such as the University of Missouri, UCLA Esports, and Harrisburg University. MSI is looking to expand that portfolio and will lean on Uconnect’s network of over 200 collegiate esports and gaming organizations in North America.
