Capcom Cup Canceled Due to Rising COVID-19 Cases – The Esports Observer

Capcom has announced the cancellation of its Street Fighter championship competition, the Capcom Cup, citing “rising cases of COVID-19 worldwide.” The event was planned to take place in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on Feb. 19-21 with players traveling in person to compete.

Instead, the company will produce an online season final to be held on Feb. 20 and 21.
