Paypal Extends Partnership With Ubisoft for Rainbow Six Siege Esports – The Esports Observer

Ubisoft has announced an extension of its partnership with Paypal, which covers a variety of Rainbow Six Siege esports competitions. The deal will run until September 2022, and will also cover the Rainbow Six World Cup.

The deal includes live event activations and will also support new content creation.

Rainbow Six Siege was a breakout game in the early months of 2020, reaching Tier 1 on The Esports Observer’s PC Games Impact Index for the first time during Q1. By virtue of scheduling, it was also one of the only games which was able to hold an international championship event last year. Going into 2021, Ubisoft has revealed what is perhaps the most comprehensive revenue sharing program in the esports industry, R6 Share, which will provide incentives and support to 42 teams across the world.
