Indian Live Streaming Startup Turnip Raises $1.63M Seed Investment – The Esports Observer

Game live streaming and community platform Turnip has raised a $1.63M USD seed financing round led by early-stage venture investment firm Elevation Capital with participation from Better Capital’s CEO and founder Vaibhav Domkundwar. The Bengaluru, India-based startup plans to use the investment proceeds to expand its reach and hiring talent.

Turnip was founded by Aditya Sharma and Pooja Dubey in April 2020. Since its establishment, the platform acquired a quarter million users and is currently operated by a 12 member team.

In a LinkedIn post, Elevation Capital Vice President Vaas Bhaskar revealed that the firm decided to invest in Turnip within four days of first meeting its team.
