Halina Malik Leaves Cavs Legion to Join eFuse – The Esports Observer

Halina Malik has left the Cleveland Cavaliers to join gaming-focused social networking platform eFuse as its new marketing and partnerships manager. Malik, a former pro Call of Duty player and a content creator on Twitch, served as the manager of content and marketing there focusing her attention on promoting its NBA 2K League esports team, the Cavs Legion.

A rep. for eFuse told The Esports Observer that in addition to handling marketing and partnerships for the platform, Malik will have a hand in helping to create content.

Malik joins other recent high-profile hires including former CSL Esports Chief Commerical Officer Neil Duffy, who joined in January as chief revenue officer, and Herbie May, who left the Houston Outlaws in December to join the company as its new director of partnerships.

In February, eFuse announced that it had raised $6M USD in investments from pro athletes and VCs including Philadelphia 76ers point guard Seth Curry, Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, New England Patriots defensive end Chase Winovich, and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., among others. The round was led by Ohio Innovation Fund.
