Minecraft’s Huge Caves & Cliffs Update Has Been Split into Two Parts to Not Compromise on Quality and Ambition – TouchArcade

Last year, the huge Minecraft ($6.99) Caves and Cliffs update was revealed at Minecraft Live. This ambitious update brings improved cave generation, Dripstone Block, Sculk Sensor, and more. At the time, a release date wasn’t announced. Mojang just announced a development timeline change for the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update. It will now ship in two parts to not compromise on quality and ambition. The current pandemic has caused a delay and Mojang will now ship the first part of the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update this summer. The second part is set for release around the holiday season. Watch the new update video for Minecraft below:

The biggest change in the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update is in the big changes coming to the Overworld. World generation is being revamped which affects caves, mountains, build height, and more. Mojang is also ensuring the team remains healthy during the current global situation. This summer, the first part of the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update will focus on new mobs, blocks, and items. Mojang put up a detailed FAQ page for the update here. The FAQ page reveals that the first part focusses on Goat, Axolotl, Crystals, Cave Blocks, Deepslate + Ore Variants, and more. Details on how to access the experimental features from the Minecraft Caves and Cliffs update are here. Do you still play Minecraft regularly on mobile or other platforms?
