Can you Level Up in Solo in Battlefield 2042

So the answer to this question is… sort of? It depends on the game mode. So the developers originally allowed players to level up solo, but quickly put in place some measures to reduce its impact since, well, Battlefield 2042 is an online game and they primarily want people playing online and using solo modes as just a way to get your feet wet.

At the time of this writing, you cannot level up solo in Portal. This is because the developers fear the inevitable XP farm servers that are designed to just allow people to level up quickly without much effort. XP was removed, and it’s unclear right now if it will ever be added back in.

For All Out Warfare, the other major game mode in Battlefield 2042 that allows solo play, you can earn XP solo, but the amount that you receive is reduced and you can only level up solo to a certain cap and after you hit the cap, you’ll need to head over to online play to continue leveling up through the ranks.
