UK esports organisation Excel Esports has announced its new Valorant roster, who will play their first match of 2022 against Ignisoul Gaming from 5pm GMT today.
Excel has brought on board new players including ozzy (UK), chiwawa (Russia), elllement (Serbia) and paTiTek (Poland), who join existing UK player Moe40.
This news was first reported by George Geddes for Upcomer two weeks ago and has now been confirmed by Excel.
The full Excel Esports Valorant roster for 2022 is:
- Muhammad ‘Moe40’ Hariff
- Oscar ‘ozzy’ Scott
- Egor ‘chiwawa’ Stepanyuk
- Dragan ‘elllement’ Milanović
- Patryk ‘paTiTek’ Fabrowski
- Coach: Jimmy ‘Jumpy’ Berndtsson
- Assistant coach: Sam ‘Fields’ Greenfield
- Team manager: Kevin ‘Noizeeh’ Jaskiewicz
Elllement joins Excel from OG and NoPoaching where he enjoyed success on the amateur Valorant circuit including wins at Epic.LAN 33 and the Rix.GG Valorant Open in May 2021.
With a wealth of international experience having played for the likes of Ninjas in Pyjamas and Entropiq, chiwawa has joined the Excel roster with competitive performances at VCT Europe and Red Bull Home Ground 1 & 2.
PaTiTek is known for his time with G2 Esports where he was part of a team that won the x7 Ignition Series.
Then ozzy is a young British talent looking to make his mark on the scene, having joined from No Poaching where he was the in-game leader. Ozzy was also signed by G2 Esports as a stand-in during stage 2 of the Valorant Champions Tour, where he utilised his IGL skills.
With ozzy joining, this means Excel has two players on its Valorant team, with the other being Moe40, who joined Excel in June 2021.
Interview with Excel Valorant player Moe40: “We have the potential to be great, but there’s a lot of hard work to get there – with time I believe we can be a top team.”
Fields (Sweden), Noizeeh (Sweden) and Fields (UK) will all continue as coaching and support staff at Excel for 2022.
“With a year of competitive experience under their belts, they will be looking to implement learnings from 2021 to make this a year of competitive victories,” Excel said in a press release.
Excel kicks off its 2022 Valorant season today with Stage 1 of the VCT Europe.
