In honor of Epic revealing Fortnite’s Creative 2.0, one indie studio has decided to recreate the original Fortnite 2017 map while showcasing the new tools.
We can see how this map was made thanks to the Twitter account Atlas Creative. Once the trailer starts, we’re shown quick shots of iconic locations such as Tilted Towers and Greasy Grove. As it goes on, we’re given a better look at how all of this was created while using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), followed by a montage of other Fortnite Creative projects made by Atlas Creative that range from cyberpunk-like cities to Toy Story-inspired maps.
While the map isn’t live in-game yet, you can follow along with the project’s Twitter account, @AtlasOGBR. The team says the map is currently in the publishing process, so a creative code should be available soon.
UEFN launched on March 22, 2023. It’s a free application that anyone can use on the Epic Games Store. With UEFN, you can create a map or modes and send it straight to Fortnite Creative mode.
It’s also worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time someone has decided to recreate the original map. In 2021, Fortnite content creator The Boy Dilly took it upon themselves to make the Chapter 1 Season 2 map, but the significant difference between this recreation and the most recent was that this one was made with Creative 1.0.
