Dead Island 2 has numerous amounts of different items for you to find in locked containers around the game-world. These containers revolve around the player finding them, acknowledging they exist, then coming back at a later date to find the zombie that has the key, killing them, and opening the container. The item, usually a weapon, can be a nice addition to your arsenal. There are many of these around the world of Dead Island 2, and you’ll probably stumble across a few on your adventure. How to get the Poolside Container key in Dead Island 2

You’re first able to find the Poolside Container in Dead Island 2 when you go to the Halperin Hotel for the first time. You sadly won’t be able to open this container straight away, as the zombie that drops the key for this container won’t be around until you progress the story a little further.

The zombie you need starts spawning after you complete the mission “O Michael, Where Art Thou?” This zombie can also take a few tries to get it to spawn, as I personally had trouble finding it. If you do have issues finding it, you can continue the main story and come back every so often until it appears. You unlock fast travel during the mid-late game making this an easier task to check in on.

If you have everything ready to face this zombie, here’s how to find it. You need to locate the collapsed road in the Halperin Hotel area, and it should be a hot-spot for Sluggers. The enemy you’re going to want to look for there is a Slugger with the name ‘Sunbather’. This is the enemy that will drop the Poolside Container key in Dead Island 2.

Once you find this enemy, all that’s left is to take it down, retrieve the key that it drops, and head back to the Poolside Container and use the key to claim your prize.
