Dead Island 2: What is Resilience?

While you can ignore the stats and opt to play as Lil Pump in Dead Island 2, if you are playing the game on a harder difficulty, you’ll want to know what Resilience is.

Resilience is your ability to withstand elemental damage. Fire, electricity, and acid are three elemental damage types you’ll see a lot of in Dead Island 2 and if you have a character with high Resilience, you won’t need to worry about that type of damage as much.

While the higher your Toughness, the less overall damage you take, the higher your Resilience, the less elemental damage you take. Receiving less elemental damage is good in some situations, but is arguably the least necessary attribute.

Which character has the best Resilience in Dead Island 2?

If getting burned, electrocuted, and melted by acid aren’t your preferred ways to go, then you’ll want a character with high Resilience. Carla is the character with the highest Resilience in Dead Island 2.

The character with the lowest Resilience is Jacob, but he is arguably the best character in the game. Since elemental damage is situational, having higher Toughness and Peak Health is more important in the long run.

You will undoubtedly run into situations where high Resilience is nice to have. If you find yourself in those situations with a character with low Resilience, you can alternatively master how to dodge and counter.
