Starting early in Honkai: Star Rail, you can visit Simulated Universe areas presented by Herta. The rewards when you venture deep into these unreal environments can be substantial. Besides that, they’re a great training ground for your crew. Here is our guide on how to clear Simulated Universe World 3 in Honkai: Star Rail.
Note: We’ll have a Honkai: Star Rail guides and features hub soon, so stay tuned.
How to clear Simulated Universe World 3 in Honkai Star Rail
After you clear the Universe in a Nutshell mission early in the game, Herta unlocks the Simulated Universe mode. You must clear each “world” to advance to the next one. Later worlds include better rewards and new mechanics. You can advance at your own pace.
Before you attempt Simulated Universe World 3, it’s best to finish your adventure on Jarilo-VI. To clear Simulated Universe World 3, you should bring along a team of strong characters at level 45 or higher. When you first access the world, it’s possible your characters will have a level cap of 40. They can’t ascend and level past that point until you reach Equilibrium level 2.
You can still attempt World 3, even if your characters are under-leveled. However, you’ll face a significant challenge. There are 13 connected stages within the simulated world, with Elite enemy encounters along the way. You can probably get through at least a few of them. You may even make it to the area boss, Gespar. However, that battle lasts 3 rounds. Your foe brings underlings and he uses a lot of area attacks. Those abilities can quickly chew through your defenses and outpace even a capable healer. Powerful relics and Light Cones may not be enough to save you.
I recommend a party with access to physical, wind, and ice attacks. If you have someone capable of using imaginary attacks, that’s also terrific. I used Serval, Dan Heng, Bailu, and March 7th. If you’re a free-to-play adventurer, I recommend the above team, except you should swap Serval out with the Trailblazer if it’s convenient. That way, you have someone capable of breaking Gespar more quickly. You don’t want that fight to last any longer than it absolutely must.
World 3 of the Simulated Universe introduces a few new wrinkles that do work in your favor. Special new items known as Curios are perhaps the most important wrinkle. They add some neat effects. You get to choose one out of three options. One of the most useful Curios available in World 3 is the Robe of Beauty. It increases damage dealt by all allies by 16% for every 100 Cosmic Fragments you own, giving you good reason to hold onto them instead of spending them with Herta. If you aren’t using that Curio, use fragments to purchase unique blessings that improve your chances of success on the current run.
Some of the most useful blessings increase stats based on the number of blessings you have collected that correspond to a particular path. For instance, Unspeakable Shame reduces an enemy’s resistance to ice attacks as you select more blessings on the Remembrance path. I usually try to focus on two particular paths during any single run when possible. Other useful blessings improve follow-up attacks or inflict greater elemental damage. When you first start a run, you will select your primary path. If you gather enough blessings of that type and have upgraded your Index, you gain a powerful AoE ability. It provides welcome assistance in close contests.
As long as you have powerful enough characters and you make good use of Curios and Blessings, you should soon be able to clear Simulated World 3 and advance to the challenges that lie beyond it.
