Backbone One PlayStation Edition Available on Android
Backbone, the popular mobile gaming controller brand, has announced that its Backbone One PlayStation Edition, previously only available for iPhone users, is now making its way to Android smartphones. This Android version, which retails for $100, boasts of the same design and features that its iPhone counterpart has, allowing for more traditional inputs through the hardware that cradles your phone. The white finish and face buttons that are similar to the DualSense controller complete the look, although it doesn’t have the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback that the PlayStation peripheral is known for.
The Backbone App for Android is available now as well and can be fully customized for PlayStation services. Previously, Android gamers had to use the Xbox Backbone to play games, but now they can enjoy the thematically-linked hardware of the PlayStation console where their games come from. The Backbone One PlayStation edition is now available in various stores such as Best Buy, Target, and Amazon.
For those who prefer the other Backbone devices, the Xbox and PlayStation editions are available on iOS. While Android users also have the Backbone Xbox edition to choose from.
