How to get the Centrifuse Catalyst in Destiny 2

The Season of The Deep brings with it a new auto rifle called Centrifuse that is aimed towards Arc-style players but can be formidable in the hands of anyone with enough practice. While it is possible to obtain the Centrifuse at level one of the season pass, getting the Catalyst requires a bit more work.

To obtain the Centrifuse Catalyst, you’ll first need to obtain the Centrifuse through the season pass. Once you have it, head over to the tower and visit Banshee-44. He’ll give you the mission that unlocks the Catalyst. To fully unlock the Catalyst, you’ll need to complete its three steps:

Centrifuse Catalyst Step 1

The first step requires a total of 20 rapid kills and 40 Final Blows with Arc damage. You should be able to complete this easily in one run-through with the right Arc loadout. Afterwards, head back to Banshee-44 for the next step.

Centrifuse Catalyst Step 2

The second step is a bit lengthy as you’ll need to kill 450 enemies and generate Calibration Data. Calibration Data is obtained by getting kills in Crucible, Vanguard, and Seasonal events. You can obtain even more Calibration Data by completing these events at higher levels. After completing this step, head back to Banshee-44 for the next step.

Centrifuse Catalyst Step 3

The final step requires you to get around 700 kills with the Centrifuse. Catalysts are only rewarded to players who have dedicated themselves to a weapon, so this will require some grinding. But once you obtain it, the Catalyst slowly builds overcharge while amplified, further enhancing its arc damage. The Catalyst makes the Centrifuse an ideal PvE weapon, allowing you to quickly clear mobs.
