Where to find and farm Puffshroom in Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a variety of weapons are presented to Link, not all of which seem to be useful at first. You’ll come across many that don’t feel like weapons at all, however, they can be of significant benefit in combat. This guide will help you where and how to farm Puffshrooms in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Puffshroom farming in Tears of the Kingdom

The Puffshroom is an essential item since you can use it against enemy mobs. If you find yourself swarmed by foes, throwing out some Puffshrooms (or fusing them to some arrows) can create chaos, confusing your enemies long enough for you to attack them sneakily and end the encounter quickly.

Finding Puffshrooms is simple, head to the Depths. You will see them growing all over this vast region, which has damp temperatures and a decent amount of water, but no sunlight. The Puffshrooms will not thrive out in the open, even in the Depths, but you can quickly collect them by searching around the base of the large columns with mushroom platforms.

If you want additional Puffshrooms, you can trade with any Bargainer Statue (including the one in Lookout Landing). You’ll need 16 Poes for each Puffshroom. However, it’s a better idea to do some scavenging and save that currency for more critical purposes (I suggest reading up on how to use Dark Clump).

Gathering a large pile of Puffshrooms as you navigate the Depths is relatively straightforward. I prioritized activating Lightroot (and suggest that you do the same). I wandered throughout the dark while on a crusade to light up the Depths. Without even trying, I gathered dozens of Puffshrooms, which I later sold to raise Rupees. Merchants in the overworld will buy them for ten Rupees apiece. That’s a good enough reason to gather them up, even if you don’t plan on using them in combat.
