How to obtain Majora’s Mask in Tears of the Kingdom

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Majora’s Mask is a significant cosmetic found in the Depths of Hyrule. This is a throwback to one of the memorable entries in the franchise, and this guide will provide information on obtaining the mask.

How to Acquire Majora’s Mask

The Floating Coliseum, located close to the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Depths of the southern portion of Central Hyrule, rewards players with Majora’s Mask upon completion. To learn more about how to reach the Floating Coliseum, check out our detailed guide. While finding the location is relatively easy, the challenge inside is much more difficult:

  • Red Lynel with a sword and shield
  • Blue Lynel with a spear
  • White-Maned Lynel with a two-handed longsword
  • Silver Lynel with a sword and shield
  • Armored Silver Lynel with a spiked club

Defeating all five Lynel variants in sequence will unlock the chest containing Majora’s Mask. The reward is worthwhile, but players must prepare themselves adequately for the gauntlet challenge.

Tips for Beating the Lynel Gauntlet

Preparation and knowledge of Lynel variants are the keys to success. Our guides on the various Lynel variants will give you an overview of their respective strengths and weaknesses. Equipping strong weapons attached with powerful attachments is also crucial.

Additionally, the presence of many high-health Lynels means that players must consider bringing several cooked meals that can relieve hearts lost due to gloom. Including Sundelions in your dish helps create such meals.

While genereal Lynel strategies are effective, players can opt for less risky ones if the need arises. For example, parrying the two-handed Lynels is a reliable strategy, but running from their attacks may also be helpful. Shield durability may suffer when facing the running slam attack, so players may resort to blocking it normally.

Upon defeating all five Lynels, Majora’s Mask is yours to keep! Additionally, defeated Lynels will drop many valuable items, so make sure to take them with you before leaving.
