Pokémon Masters EX has seen a steady growth of downloads, reaching 50 million recently. Although it may not have reached the same high numbers as Pokémon Go, which had 650 million downloads, it is still achieving success in its own way.
DeNA has developed this game and added Pokémon characters from the main series of console games. They are made available in a variety of ways, primarily through its gacha system. Most players find this as a more appropriate and efficient way of collections compared to the sensation caused by the game Pokémon Go.
Fire Emblem Heroes is very similar to Pokémon Masters, as it also involves DeNA and the Nintendo franchise. The game is modelled around a gacha system, with players collecting characters from the Fire Emblem titles which are a massive hit with fans. It is also now the most lucrative mobile title for Nintendo, boasting revenue of over $1 billion.
Introducing Hisui
Pokémon Masters EX has recently centered around characters from Nintendo’s Sun and Moon titles in its most recent showcases. These include Hau teaming up with Tapu Koko and Lana with Tapu Lele. The tropical visuals complementing summers made this showcase even more attractive.
Further to this, Masters has announced that the next gacha pairs will be Adaman and Irida, first-time additions to the Pokémon Legends Arceus collection. These characters have long been anticipated by fans, and their arrival with the Masters confirms the importance of Legends Arceus becoming one of the main series of Pokémon games. The characters, leaders of the Diamond and Pearl clans, have their Leafeon and Glaceon accompanying them and are set to release later this week. The Masters app icon has even been updated to an image of Irida, demonstrating the hype that these future additions to the Legends Arceus series are creating.
During its 3.5-year anniversary, Masters has given players the opportunity to receive a free Champion of their choice, which is a generous gesture to celebrate the iconic game and its milestones.
