In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the Master Sword was our personal pickaxe and our ultimate weapon. Despite its powerful abilities, it was not invincible; the weapon was destructible just like any other sword in the game. In the newest installment of the series, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Master Sword has returned as the iconic weapon of the game. But can it still break?
Is the Master Sword Still Unbreakable in Tears of the Kingdom?
The good news is that the Master Sword is still unbreakable in Tears of the Kingdom, just like in the previous game. However, players will need to take into account that the sword will run out of energy during the first part of the game. Once the energy is depleted, the sword will need to recharge before being used again. But it should be noted that the Master Sword can still be used to cut grass, search for bugs, and activate Brightbloom seeds; which allows other weapons to stay unbroken as long as possible.
Despite being an essential weapon, the Master Sword does not have anything unique to offer in a game filled with fire rods and Zonai-powered weapons. This game cannot be complete without the iconic Master Sword, and it remains fitting it should be the only weapon that can’t truly break.
