In the latest Trails & Tales update for Minecraft, players can now interact with one of their favorite mobs, Camels. These desert animals are one of the most reliable companions and the best ride players can get across desert biomes. Feed them and they’ll be loyal to you. But what do these desert mammals eat? Here’s our guide on what Camels eat in Minecraft 1.20 update.
What do Camels Eat in Minecraft 1.20?
In Minecraft 1.20 update, Camels’ only food source is cactus, much like their real-life counterparts. Feeding them the right food, cactus, can help you gain their trust and tame them. Equip and hold the cactus and then simply right-click a Camel to feed it. Once tamed, put a saddle on it for better control and it will follow you around. Eating cactus won’t hurt Camels in the game, but feeding them the appropriate amount can help recover their health. Cactus can be obtained from the desert or grown for feeding.
Breeding Camels in Minecraft
Camels are tall creatures that will keep players safe from most of the melee attacks in the game. To breed Camels in Minecraft, players must find and get two Camels to feed them cacti. They will then enter love mode, breed, and spawn a baby Camel. Players must wait five minutes before they can breed Camels again.
