Ninja Theory Reveals Release Window and Game Pass Availability for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2017 hit Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, which is known for its effective portrayal of mental health. The original game was a sensation among its fans, which makes it no surprise that many are eagerly waiting for the sequel’s release. After the initial announcement of Hellblade 2 back in 2019, fans have been on edge about its release date. Finally, after a long wait, Ninja Theory revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase that the game will be released in 2024. Additionally, the game will be available on Game Pass on the day of its release.
Fans treated to a Cinematic Trailer
The new four-minute trailer of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 gives fans plenty of new footage to enjoy. Although most of the video consists of two cinematics, there is a short segment of slow-walking gameplay partway through. Since much of Hellblade’s appeal comes from its story and themes, fans are unlikely to mind the lack of gameplay. However, some comments on YouTube criticize the trailer’s lack of gameplay.
Listen with Your Headphones On
The official Xbox YouTube account’s description of the trailer indicates that it is best viewed with headphones on. The various voices in Senua’s mind make for a compelling listening experience that gives plenty of insight into her headspace.

Judging from the trailer of Senua’s Sage: Hellblade 2, this game will do an admirable job of following up on the story of the first game and hone in on what players enjoyed about it. Still, fans will only know for sure if the game turns out to be a truly worthy sequel once it finally releases in 2024.
