Final Fantasy XVI Playable Prologue Now Available
Exciting news for Final Fantasy fans! If you missed yesterday’s Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration event, you may not have heard about the surprise announcement of a playable demo for the highly anticipated action RPG. The good news is that you can play it right now.
What’s in the Demo?
The demo, called the Playable Prologue, contains two major slices of the game. The first section is the opening prologue, which is a lengthy 2+ hour experience. Interestingly, your save data from this section carries over to the full game when it launches on June 22, giving you a head start on your progress.
The second segment is an action-focused mission that centers around Clive’s infiltration of a fort. While your progress from this section won’t carry over to the final version of the game, it’s still a great way to try out the stylish-action-inspired combat that Final Fantasy XVI is known for. This mission is also a substantial 2-hour experience on its own.
Release Date and Exclusive Coverage
Final Fantasy XVI is set to launch on June 22 exclusively for PlayStation 5 consoles. Keep in mind that this is just days away, so now is a perfect time to try out the Playable Prologue demo.
If you want even more information about the game, be sure to check out Game Informer’s coverage hub. Final Fantasy XVI is taking the gaming world by storm, and we can’t wait to see what fans think of the demo and the full game when it launches later this month.
