Best FTAC Siege Akimbo Build for MW2 and Warzone 2
The FTAC Siege machine pistol is highly effective for close-quarters combat. In order to provide even more firepower, Infinity Ward has introduced the ability to use it in an Akimbo style. This significantly changes the way we approach the weapon, so let me present to you the optimal build for the Best FTAC Siege Akimbo loadout in MW2 and Warzone 2.
Recommended Attachments for the Akimbo Build
- Laser: 1MW Pistol Laser
- Barrel: CMRN-50
- Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
- Magazine: 72 Round Drum
- Rear Grip: Akimbo
When it comes to the Akimbo style, Hipfire Accuracy becomes a crucial statistic. These attachments are specifically selected to maximize Damage Range and Hipfire Accuracy.
The 1MW Pistol Laser provides the greatest Hipfire Buffs and a slight increase in ‘Sprint to Fire Speed,’ despite the disadvantage of being visible. However, since this weapon is designed for a mobile playstyle, the visibility is not a significant issue.
Among the available barrel attachments, the CMRN-50 is the only one that does not negatively impact Damage Range or Hipfire Accuracy. It offers valuable Recoil Control and Bullet Velocity without sacrificing stats such as ADS Speed that are not relevant for Akimbo builds.
When it comes to the Muzzle attachment, there are a few options. I personally recommend the XTEN RR-40 for its Sound Suppression and additional Damage Range. The Singuard MKV is also a viable alternative with a similar stat profile. Both Muzzles have only negative effects that do not affect Akimbo weapons.
Lastly, the choice of Magazine is crucial, and the 72 Round Drum is mandatory for the best performance. While the 50 Round Drum may offer slightly better handling, the difference is minimal compared to the advantage of having extra bullets.
Choosing Between Standard and Akimbo
The decision between using a single FTAC Siege or dual Akimbo FTAC Sieges ultimately comes down to personal preference. Akimbo FTAC Sieges are incredibly potent in close-quarters combat, boasting the ability to empty 140 rounds at alarming speed and blurring the line between pistols and SMGs. However, their main drawback is the lack of control in the Akimbo style. Unlike single FTAC Sieges, Akimbo weapons cannot be equipped with Underbarrels or Stocks, and they suffer from significant vertical recoil. Additionally, their damage output drastically diminishes at longer ranges, making accuracy essential for securing mid-range kills.
Considering these factors, I personally prefer to use a single FTAC Siege. With the stability attachments recommended in our previous build guide, the single FTAC Siege allows for comfortable engagement at mid-range. The 72-Round Drum magazines provide an abundance of ammunition, offering the feeling that they never seem to run out. As someone with an aggressive playstyle, this setup suits me well. However, if you have the skill to effectively utilize regular Akimbo pistols, the Dual FTAC Sieges can be a formidable choice.
