PS Plus Extra and Premium Update: New Arrivals and Departures
On June 20, PS Plus Extra and Premium will be updated with the latest arrivals for the month. As previously confirmed, several games will also be leaving the service on June 19. However, it seems that one more title has quietly been added to the list.
According to TrueTrophies, PlayStation Plus Extra’s unlisted game departure on June 19 is Little Nightmares. The outlet discovered this information by analyzing data from PSN. Although the game is not listed among the outgoing titles, the alleged removal date can be found in the PlayStation Plus section of the dashboard by scrolling to the title.
Currently, hovering over the “Stream” button indicates that the game can only be streamed until 10 a.m. on June 19. However, there is no such disclaimer when clicking the “Play Game” button. It is worth noting that previously redeemed games do not display the warning on the “Play Game” button. Little Nightmares was also part of PlayStation Plus Essential in August 2022, so those who see only yellow text on the “Stream” button likely redeemed it during that period.
With Little Nightmares apparently joining the list of departures, here is the full lineup of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium next week:
- 9 Monkeys of Shaolin
- Agents of Mayhem
- Ash of Gods: Redemption
- Black Mirror
- Defense Grid 2
- Descenders
- Fire Pro Wrestling World (Europe and Australia only)
- Gods Will Fall
- Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf
- John Wick Hex
- KeyWe
- Little Nightmares
- NSR: No Straight Roads: Encore Edition
- Party Hard
- Redeemer
- Wytchwood
- Red Faction
- Red Faction II
It appears that a total of 25 games will be added to PS Plus Extra next week, along with three games for PS Plus Premium. However, the inclusion of Coded Soul, which was previously released only on PSP in Japan, is believed to be an error often seen in official updates. The tweet mentioning the game was deleted by the PlayStation U.K. Twitter account, and it was added to the PlayStation Blog afterwards. Therefore, its fate is currently uncertain.
In addition, the PS4 version of WWE 2K23 will receive a PS Plus Premium trial on June 20. Players can expect to receive a code for custom avatars commemorating some of the games included in PS Plus on the same day. This code will be sent via email but will also be available on the PS Plus website.
