Most Popular Games on Twitch (June 2023)
Curious about the current most popular games on Twitch? Whether you’re looking to join the live stream community or simply watch others play, these trending games are worth checking out.
Diablo 4
Recently released, Diablo 4 has quickly gained popularity among Twitch players and gamers alike. According to Streamcharts, over 22.3K channels have been streaming D4 since June 2, 2023. The game reached its peak viewership with 942.3K audience between June 2 and 4. With the masterful advertising and drops from Blizzard, Diablo 4’s popularity on Twitch is expected to continue growing. And let’s not forget about Megan Fox eulogizing players who died playing Hardcore mode. It seems like Blizzard is compensating for the login issues in D4!
It’s #DiabloIV launch week, and death is in the air.
Celebrate the carnage by sharing videos of your in-game death on Twitter or TikTok with #DiabloDeaths for a chance to have @meganfox read your eulogy. pic.twitter.com/zncaW9UAxS

League of Legends
As a free-to-play game, League of Legends (LoL) dominates the Twitch gaming category. It has been a prominent esport for over a decade, offering hundreds of champions with unique attributes and skills. The game’s various game modes, rich lore, and strong player community contribute to its enduring popularity. Despite ranking 5th globally according to Streamcharts, its peak viewership reached an impressive 3.1 million audiences last year.
Grand Theft Auto V (GTA Online)
Despite being a decade-old game, GTA Online remains the most popular game on Twitch. This can be largely attributed to the rise of role-playing servers, which allow Twitch players to explore alternative personalities within the game. While the single-player campaign may have concluded for most players, streamers utilizing the best mods and RP servers continue to create endless adventures in GTA Online. With ongoing updates and an evolving ecosystem, it seems like GTA Online might never die.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO)
CSGO, known for its extensive skin market ecosystem and as one of the best spectator esports, continues to maintain its popularity. Despite lacking flashy abilities, the game’s high skill ceiling and balanced gameplay make it challenging to master. While the player and streamer count on Twitch may have decreased over time, CSGO still boasts a dedicated player base, especially during tournaments. As the highly-anticipated Counter-Strike 2 beta awaits, featuring a 128-tick rate, Valve has the potential to rival Riot’s Valorant. It’s safe to say that CSGO remains one of the most popular games on Twitch for now.
Keep in mind that the above list is a work in progress, and we will update it with more popular games. So, stay tuned!
