Final Fantasy 16: How to Get the Stormcry Sword

Unlocking Stormcry

To unlock the Stormcry sword in Final Fantasy 16, you must first unlock the Garuda Eikon ability and defeat the Wind Summon herself. This progression is part of the main story, so simply continue playing until you reach this point. After the battles, you will receive a Wind Shard material, which is essential for creating the Stormcry sword. Fortunately, crafting this weapon does not require a substantial amount of money, although having an ample amount of Gil can be beneficial for other purposes.

As you progress through the storyline, you will eventually return to The Hideaway. This is where the assistance of Blackthorne is required to forge the Stormcry sword. Visit the Blacksmith and access his crafting menu. At the top of the menu, you will find the option to create the Stormcry sword. At this stage of the game, the Stormcry sword boasts an attack value of 135, surpassing the +2 Bastard Sword by five points. It is undoubtedly one of the most powerful weapons available to you.
