Mortal Kombat 1 Stress Test Codes Selling for Hundreds of Dollars on eBay
The stress test for Mortal Kombat 1 is currently underway, and players who were unable to secure a code are resorting to other means to obtain one. Some individuals are even paying exorbitant amounts, amounting to hundreds of dollars, to purchase a code on eBay.
Online auction sites saw the emergence of Mortal Kombat 1 stress test codes earlier today. While some players were simply trying their luck to make some extra cash, these codes are now being sold for hundreds of dollars. It’s important to note that these codes are only valid for the current stress test that commenced yesterday.
For instance, take a look at this code. Earlier today, it reached an impressive bid of $230 from 19 different bidders. Eventually, it secured a winning bid of a staggering $810. Another auction, displayed below, has since been deleted. However, it remains unclear whether the code was sold or if eBay removed the auction.

Unsurprisingly, other code owners are also attempting to sell their codes, despite the fact that the stress test concludes on Monday morning.
The stress test for Mortal Kombat 1 is currently being conducted on Xbox Series X and PS5. It will end at 8am PT / 11am ET (or 4pm BST) on June 26. Unfortunately, the test is not available for PC and Nintendo Switch users. However, players who have received an invitation to the test are not required to have an online subscription for either service to play the game online.
Even if you don’t make it into the test pool this time, there’s still good news. The upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 game will have a playable beta for those who have pre-ordered the fighting game. The beta will begin in August.
In our Mortal Kombat 1 preview, we mentioned, “The Kameo system is phenomenal, but it’s an extra level of strategy on top of an already complicated game that has made me absolutely sure that I’m going to be terrible at it. Often, whenever I tried to get Sonya in to assist me in a ground-based scrap, I’d instead merely make her fly overhead like a Red Arrow, giving us a cheery wave as she flew past us whilst we traded blows on the ground.”
