Sonic Frontiers: Sonic’s Birthday Bash Update Now Available

Today, Sonic Team announced that the second free content update for Sonic Frontiers, titled Sonic’s Birthday Bash, is now available. This update was revealed in November 2022 as part of the game’s 2023 roadmap during the Sonic Central stream celebrating the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise’s anniversary.

New Challenges and Collectibles

Sonic’s Birthday Bash brings exciting new features to the game. Players can expect new challenges, moves, and a new collectible called Koco for Sonic. Additionally, the update includes free birthday decorations for our hero and introduces the highly anticipated New Game Plus mode.

In the New Game Plus mode, players can embark on a new adventure while retaining all of their skill tree progress and power-up levels from the previous playthrough. This allows for a fresh start without losing the progress made in the game.

Players can download Sonic’s Birthday Bash for free starting today at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. This update is the second in a series of three planned content updates. The first update, released in March, introduced a photo mode, Cyber Space Challenges, Battle Rush mode, and a collectible song jukebox featuring tracks from Sonic’s past.

The third and most substantial update is scheduled to arrive later this year. It will include new playable characters and an entirely new story, promising even more exciting adventures within Sonic Frontiers.
