Genshin Impact’s highly anticipated Fayz Trials event has returned, promising an even better experience than before. While the bar for earning rewards is relatively low, the event is still well worth participating in. Here’s an overview of what you need to know about the Fayz Trials.
Fayz Trials Event Overview
In order to participate in the Fayz Trials, you’ll need to have reached at least Adventure Rank 20 and completed the Archon Quest “Song of the Dragon and Freedom.” A researcher named Jami from the Akademiya is seeking witnesses for his groundbreaking experiment, but he lacks the funding to hire adventurers.
The researcher has spent most of his funds setting up the experiment, leaving little left for recruiting assistants. However, the Traveler agrees to help, and a domain is opened for them to enter and participate in the trials.
The main focus of the Fayz Trials is the “Fayz Potion,” which has a time dilation effect that temporarily stops time. This allows players to capture pictures of enemies’ weak points without having to worry about dodging attacks. Finding these vulnerabilities is the objective of the experiment, and it’s the key to earning Primogem rewards.
In order to maximize your chances of finding multiple weaknesses, you’ll need to position yourself strategically. Additionally, if you find enough weak points, you can trigger a powerful Supersense Skill to aid in defeating enemies. Gold weak points count as two normal ones, providing an extra advantage.
The Fayz Potion constantly regenerates during combat, giving you multiple charges to use throughout the trials.
The Challenges
The Fayz Trials consist of seven combat challenges that open up over the course of a week. As of now, only the first two challenges are available, with the rest opening on specific dates.
During the event, players can only use trial characters that are pre-determined. Each challenge features a mix of enemies, including Hilichurls, Mitachurls, Samachurls, Treasure Hoarders, Fatui Cicins, and Fatui Mirror Maidens. Defeating enemies with stars over their heads will provide higher point rewards.
Tips for Success
Here are some tips to help you succeed in the Fayz Trials:
- Take advantage of crowd control: Kazuha is an excellent unit for crowd control, using his abilities to group up enemies and set up shots with the Fayz Potion.
- Build a balanced party: The provided team is a solid choice, with a focus on Pyro characters. Utilize Bennett’s support abilities and rotation strategies to maximize damage output.
- Exploit elemental reactions: Use characters like Kaveh and Xingqiu to trigger elemental reactions and deal additional damage to enemies.
- Experiment with different characters: The Fayz Trials offer a great opportunity to try out characters you may not have yet and discover new party compositions.
- Aim for all three objectives: While earning a high score is not necessary for Primogem rewards, completing all three objectives will provide valuable Ascension materials for future use.
Remember to have fun and enjoy the unique experience that the Fayz Trials event offers. It’s the perfect time to appreciate the combat mechanics of Genshin Impact and capture stunning moments in the game.
