Sonic Superstars Revealed in Summer Game Fest and Nintendo Direct
The highly anticipated 2D Sonic game, Sonic Superstars, made quite an impression during the Summer Game Fest 2023 stream and this week’s Nintendo Direct. Sonic fans were treated to a new trailer that showcased exciting DLC content, including a special collaboration with the Lego brand.
Lego Sonic DLC Skins
One of the highlights of the DLC is the ability for players to download a free Lego Sonic skin, transforming the iconic Blue Blur into a bricky character. This unique look adds a fun twist to the gameplay experience. Additionally, those who pre-order Sonic Superstars will receive a Lego Eggman skin, adding even more excitement to the game.
Sonic and Lego’s History
Sonic’s collaboration with Lego is not entirely new. Back in 2015, Sonic made his debut in the Lego Dimensions toys-to-life game, where he had specially designed stages that catered to his fast-paced gameplay. However, it wasn’t until 2021 that Lego officially approved a fan creation featuring Green Hill Zone from Sonic Mania. This year, Lego announced the upcoming release of four new Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets, set to hit the shelves in August.
