Making your character look like yourself in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life can make it much more immersive. In this engaging farming and life simulator, you have the opportunity to fully customize your character’s appearance, including face, hair, and most importantly, clothes. While you begin with two clothing options, there are actually numerous outfits waiting to be unlocked throughout your gameplay. In this guide, we’ll delve into where to find and purchase these additional outfits.
Where to Find Outfits in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life
There are two main methods you can utilize to acquire more clothing options in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. One way is through the game itself, while the other involves purchasing downloadable content (DLC). If you prefer to avoid spending any extra money on the game, fear not. There is an abundance of in-game outfits available for purchase using your hard-earned Gold.

Ven, the wandering merchant, holds the key to unlocking new outfits for your character. Ven will make an appearance at Forgotten Valley on the third and eighth day of every season. Don’t forget to check out his wares, as he might have a new outfit to offer. During the Fall season, for example, I bought a lovely autumn-themed outfit from him. As you progress further in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, you’ll uncover more clothing options, even after your fourth year.
The essence of this game lies in playing through multiple years, getting married, and starting a family, giving you ample opportunities to visit Ven and expand your wardrobe. In addition to Ven, completing certain Requests posted on the Bulletin Board will also reward you with new outfits.

But what about the DLC we mentioned earlier? Well, if you’re playing Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life on Steam, you’ll discover purchasable DLC that includes four exclusive outfits. Originally, these outfits could only be obtained from specific retailers in the Japanese version of the game. However, now they are available to all players for a reasonable price of $3.99 USD. Personally, I’m quite fond of these outfits myself, particularly the one featuring a stylish cow-print cardigan.
