Sniper Rifles in Warzone 2 DMZ: The SPX-80 One Shot Build
If you’ve been following the discussions surrounding the Sniper Rifles in Warzone 2 and DMZ, you’re likely aware that there’s a divided opinion on the recent changes. Sniper Rifles now require two shots to kill, significantly reducing their effectiveness. However, there is still a way to achieve a one-shot kill with the right weapon and attachments. Allow me to present to you the SPX-80 One Shot Build for Warzone 2 DMZ.
The SPX-80 Attachments
- Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
- Muzzle: Nilsound 90
- Ammunition: .300 Incendiary
- Stock: Max DMR Precision
- Optic: Personal preference
When it comes to this particular build, there isn’t much room for customization compared to our other guides like the X13 Auto Build. Here’s a breakdown of the attachments and the reasoning behind them:
In this build, our priority is Damage Range. This stat determines how far the bullet can travel without losing its damage. It’s crucial to counteract the damage falloff mechanics that often render SMGs ineffective at longer distances.
The FSS OLE-V Laser is a top-tier choice as it provides improved ADS (Aim Down Sight) speed and Sprint to Fire speed. This laser attachment is the only one that offers these significant speed boosts, making the SPX-80 feel snappy and responsive.
There are a few decent Muzzle options that increase the Damage Range. The Nilsound 90, available early on, not only enhances handling but also provides sound suppression. While the difference between the best Muzzles is minimal, the Bruen Agent 90 can serve as a viable alternative.
Both Stock options, Max DMR Precision and the alternative that increases Sprint Speed, are good choices. The Max DMR Precision, however, offers improved Aim Stability. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference as neither affects the weapon’s ability to achieve one-shot kills.
In order to maximize the potential of the SPX-80 One Shot Build, it is crucial to use Incendiary Ammunition. Using any other ammo type will require two shots to eliminate an enemy, with the exception of opponents with low health or without a full Armor Vest.
Finally, the choice of Optic is yours to make. Optics do not impact weapon damage, so use whatever suits your playstyle. If you prefer the default scope, consider swapping the Optic for a Rear Grip attachment like the Schlager Match to increase ADS speed.
SPX-80 One Shot Kills in Warzone 2 DMZ: Is It Guaranteed?
Unfortunately, achieving one-shot kills with Sniper Rifles in Warzone 2 DMZ can be quite inconsistent, regardless of your build. Infinity Ward has made significant changes to make the game feel more like the original, but one-shot kill sniper rifles have not followed suit, except in special circumstances.
The SPX-80 can only secure a one-shot kill within a range of approximately 50 meters. Moreover, some long-range Assault Rifles become viable at that distance. Unlocking the true potential of this rifle requires a skilled hand. It’s important to note that if you hit a limb, even if the bullet would pass through and hit the body, a follow-up shot is still necessary.
If you prefer a more versatile option, the ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle is highly recommended.
