Electronic Arts’ Upcoming Expansion for The Sims 4 Brings Ceilings, Horses, and More
Electronic Arts is set to release the highly anticipated expansion pack for The Sims 4 called Horse Ranch. This expansion will immerse players in the countryside experience, introducing new features such as horses, wine-making, and even cowboy boots. While there are numerous exciting details about this expansion, one that has caught the attention of many players is the upgrade to the game’s ceilings. This feature was confirmed by Electronic Arts during a livestream previewed to the media.
The Sims 4 community is thrilled about this change. While players previously relied on mods to use different ceiling tiles, there were no options available in the base game. However, with the introduction of new ceiling options, players will now have the ability to further customize and enhance their builds to achieve the desired atmosphere. For example, a wooden ceiling can perfectly complement the ranch-themed homes showcased in the Horse Ranch preview. These new ceiling options will be included as part of the base game update, coinciding with the release of the Horse Ranch expansion.
The livestream previewed on Friday not only highlighted the ceilings but also showcased various other exciting details about the Horse Ranch expansion. Players can expect an array of new features, including horses with customizable options, new outfits, and decorations to create stunning barns and barn-inspired homes.
The expansion also introduces new neighborhoods with large lots specifically designed to accommodate horses and provide ample space for them to roam. Additionally, players will have the opportunity to set up stations for producing and selling “Nectar” (wine). Furthermore, the Horse Ranch expansion introduces goats and sheep as additional animals, enhancing the existing lineup of llamas, cows, and other pets available in the game.
While horses were a part of The Sims 3’s pets expansion, they were notably absent in The Sims 4’s equivalent expansion, Cats & Dogs. This exclusion disappointed many players who were eagerly anticipating the inclusion of horses. However, the Horse Ranch expansion seems to make up for it by offering a comprehensive horse experience with various activities to engage in.
The Sims 4: Horse Ranch is scheduled for release on July 20 and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
