The Premier League has announced a new multi-year partnership extension with EA Sports FC as its lead partner and official licensee.
This latest agreement ensures that EA will continue working with the Premier League even after the termination of its previous partnership with FIFA in 2022.
The rebranded EA Sports FC series, no longer associated with FIFA, will now carry the torch with the help of this partnership extension. All 20 Premier League clubs will be “authentically represented in-game”, featuring “every club, player, manager, stadium, kit, and more”.
In addition, the partnership will involve the development of community programs such as school football initiatives and investments into grassroots facilities through the launch of EA Sports FC Futures.
EA Sports FC Futures aims to inspire the next generation of young football fans and foster their love for the game by collaborating with grassroots football projects.
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters commented on the long-term impact of this partnership, stating, “Through our long-term partnership, the Premier League and EA Sports have inspired generations of football fans, and we look forward to continuing this in the years to come.”
The partnership will also have a positive effect on eSports, with the Premier League and EA Sports working together on community initiatives for the ePremier League tournament and other locations globally.
This partnership extension is expected to secure the future of EA’s significant franchise, EA Sports FC 24, and ensure its success long after its launch on September 29.
