Tips for Maximizing the Power of Molduga Jaws in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Defeating the Molduga overworld boss in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can reward you with valuable drops, including the Molduga Jaw. While this drop initially appears to have a base attack power similar to the average silver monster horn, with the right setup, it can actually become one of the most potent fusible monster parts in the game. Although not essential for challenging combat encounters, if you want to make the most of Molduga Jaws in Tears of the Kingdom, follow these tips:
Utilize Bone Weapon Proficiency Modifier
The Molduga Jaw is categorized as a bone material, allowing it to work with the bone weapon proficiency modifier. To benefit from this modifier, you need to wear either the Radiant set or the Evil Spirit set, both of which grant you the bone weapon proficiency.
Radiant Set
You can easily purchase the Radiant Set from the clothing store in Kakariko Village. However, to unlock the bone weapon proficiency modifier for the Radiant set, you must upgrade all three armor pieces twice. This upgrade requires a single Bokoblin Guts item, two Moblin Guts, 25 Luminous Stones, and 60 rupees for each piece of the set.
Evil Spirit Set
If you prefer to use the Evil Spirit set, you must first unlock each armor piece by completing all three Lomei Labyrinth quests in the Hebra, Akkala, and Gerudo regions. While you cannot upgrade the Evil Spirit set, it immediately provides the bone weapon proficiency buff.
Combine with Strong Weapon and Level Three Attack Buff
With the bone weapon proficiency buff active, attaching a Molduga Jaw to your weapon will significantly increase its attack power. To further enhance your damage output, consider combining the Molduga Jaw with a strong weapon and a level three attack buff. You can easily obtain a level three attack buff by cooking five Mighty Bananas and consuming the resulting meal. With this setup, Molduga Jaws will shred through any boss in Tears of the Kingdom, regardless of their strength.
