Sea of Stars: Playable Demo Now Available on PlayStation Consoles
Sea of Stars, the highly anticipated RPG from Sabotage Studios, is set to release on August 29 for multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. While the game has already generated a lot of excitement and even graced the cover of Game Informer back in March, the playable demo has been exclusive to the Nintendo Switch platform. However, PlayStation fans can now rejoice as the demo is finally available on PlayStation consoles.
The demo, as described in a post on the PlayStation Blog, offers a spoiler-free slice of the game, allowing players to get a taste of the world and gameplay mechanics in an out-of-context experience. This is an exciting opportunity for PlayStation gamers to get a preview of the highly anticipated title.
But that’s not all! When Sea of Stars officially launches next month, it will be included in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers right from day one. This means that PlayStation players who are subscribed to these services will have immediate access to the full game, adding even more value to their subscription.
A Prequel with Stellar Inspirations
Sea of Stars serves as a distant prequel to Sabotage Studios’ critically acclaimed 2018 title, The Messenger. Inspired by beloved RPGs such as Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger, Sea of Stars puts players in control of one of the two protagonists, Valere and Zale.
The game incorporates a unique blend of dynamic turn-based combat, platforming, and traversal mechanics to create an engaging and immersive experience. Players will harness the power of the sun and the moon to confront and defeat an evil alchemist, all while exploring a vibrant and expansive world.
