Diablo IV: How to Farm Wrathful Malignant Hearts in Season 1

Malignant Hearts are the latest addition to Diablo IV’s first season and are essential for unlocking the full potential of your character or build. Fortunately, there’s a simple and efficient method to get guaranteed Wrathful Malignant Hearts, including rare ones like The Barber, without requiring much time or effort. This farming strategy can be repeated as many times as you want, allowing you to farm to your heart’s content. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Progress to “The Cold Hard Truth” Quest

In order to take advantage of this farming method, you need to have progressed to the final seasonal quest, “The Cold Hard Truth.” This quest requires entering the Velkhova Church Undercroft in the Fractured Peaks zone. Inside the dungeon, you will meet Cormond, the main character of Season 1, who will ask for your help in performing a ritual to summon Varshan the Consumed.

Step 2: Defeat the Final Boss

Your goal is to defeat the final boss of the dungeon quest. However, do not turn in the quest and complete it. By not completing the quest, you’ll be able to grab the loot from the boss, leave the dungeon, reset it, and then repeat the dungeon whenever you want. There are two ways to reset the dungeon: either by clicking the “Reset Dungeon” button at the bottom of your quest tab or by logging out and logging back into the game.

Step 3: Increase Your Chances

While you’re farming the dungeon, keep an eye out for rare Malignant enemies that spawn just before the boss encounter. These enemies have a chance of being Wrathful Malignant enemies, which increases the number of Wrathful Malignant Hearts you can earn per run. Take advantage of this to maximize your rewards.

Step 4: Party Up if Needed

If you accidentally complete the quest or have already done so, solo players may find themselves locked out of the dungeon. However, you can still join a party with a friend or another player who hasn’t completed the quest. Defeating the boss as a member of a party that hasn’t completed the quest will still grant you the Wrathful Heart as a reward.
