In this week’s edition of the Japanese charts, Nintendo’s latest release, Pikmin 4, has made an impressive debut. Selling 401,853 copies in its opening week, Pikmin 4 has claimed the top spot. Although it falls short of Tears of the Kingdom’s opening sales (which now sits in second place), Pikmin 4’s numbers are significantly higher than other notable releases this year, such as Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe and Final Fantasy XVI. The Rescue Corps has done an excellent job!
Another notable release this week is Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening, which debuted with 10,633 copies on the Switch and 10,434 copies on the PlayStation 4, securing the fourth and fifth positions on the charts, respectively.
Elsewhere, the standard Switch titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Nintendo Switch Sports continue to dominate the charts. Final Fantasy XVI has dropped from fourth place last week to ninth place this time, and Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist Of Salburg, which was the silver medalist last week, is completely out of the top 10.
