Blizzard Boss Sets Deadline for Bug Fix in Diablo 4
Blizzard boss Mike Ybarra has announced that the team is working on fixing a bug in Diablo 4 that is preventing some players from progressing and collecting their rewards in the new season. The goal is to have the bug fixed by August 15th.
The bug in question is causing players to be stuck at the Slayer level because the game does not recognize that they have completed the A Boon in the Tide quest, no matter how many times they try to open the Tortured Gift Helltide chest.
Many players have taken to the game’s official forums to report the issue, prompting Ybarra to respond directly to a player and assure them that the bug will be fixed in a few days. However, the fix will not be included in the upcoming Patch 1.1.1., which is expected next week.
While the fix may not come as quickly as some players had hoped, Ybarra’s response was appreciated by the community.
It’s being fixed in a few days, I think the goal is 8/15.

It’s important to note that Blizzard is cracking down on players who try to exploit the game by disconnecting and transferring non-seasonal items to a seasonal character. Players have reported being banned for attempting this exploit.
In the upcoming Patch 1.1.1., Blizzard has promised improvements for the Sorcerers and Barbarians classes. The intention is to enhance late-game survivability for Sorcerers and increase the flow of combat for Barbarians by improving Fury generation and the power of Unique items.
