How to Dual Wield in Baldur’s Gate 3
Building your characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 offers countless possibilities. From choosing various classes to wielding different weapons, the game’s flexibility allows players to experiment and find their preferred playstyle. One intriguing option is dual-wielding, which we’ll guide you through in this article.
To dual wield in Baldur’s Gate 3, start by opening your inventory. Look for the melee weapon slots at the bottom left of your character’s screen. If your character is capable of dual-wielding, you’ll find two slots. Click on the empty slot to equip a weapon into your off-hand, allowing you to dual wield.
Once you’ve equipped the weapons, you can confirm that you’re dual wielding by either pressing the corresponding button in the user interface or using the ‘R’ key on your keyboard. Remember that dual wielding in Baldur’s Gate 3 will consume both your action and bonus action in a turn, so plan accordingly.
It’s important to note that you can only dual wield certain types of weapons, usually categorized as ‘light’ weapons. However, if you have the Dual Wielder Feat, you can dual wield other non-heavy weapons. The Dual Wielder Feat can be obtained by any class at Level 4. Armed with this knowledge, you’re ready to master the art of dual wielding in Baldur’s Gate 3.
