Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Campaign Playable Early with Preorder
Players who preorder Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will be rewarded with early access to the game’s open beta and the opportunity to play the campaign a week before its official release. This information comes from a leaked marketing asset, indicating that Activision has adopted this strategy following the success of Modern Warfare II’s early campaign playthrough for preorder customers.
Continuing the story of its predecessor, Modern Warfare III follows Task Force 141 as they engage in a high-stakes battle against Makarov. Although details about the storyline are scarce, fans can expect an action-packed military shooter experience.
Activision has scheduled an official reveal for Modern Warfare III on August 17, where more information about the game will be unveiled. It is anticipated that the beta test will initially be available on PlayStation, as Activision receives compensation for this arrangement. Furthermore, even if Microsoft successfully acquires Activision Blizzard and the Call of Duty series, the franchise will remain on PlayStation for at least the next decade.
Modern Warfare III will be offered in a standard $70 edition and a special Vault Edition featuring additional extras. To learn more about these editions and other important details, stay tuned for the August 17th update.
Additionally, players can anticipate the unveiling of Modern Warfare III through an in-game event called Shadow Siege in Warzone on August 17. By participating in this event, players will have the opportunity to earn a range of bonus items, including a new weapon.
