How to Evolve Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – The Teal Mask DLC
In the vast open-world of Paldea, both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet offer players the opportunity to discover a wide range of Pokémon. While it may seem challenging to locate specific Pokémon in these games, there are ways to narrow down your search. However, the dreaded version exclusives can still pose a hurdle for dedicated Pokémon fans. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are no exception, each containing their own set of version-exclusive Pokémon. The Teal Mask DLC introduces a few new version exclusives, including the elusive Gligar. To assist you, we have prepared a guide on how to evolve Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – The Teal Mask DLC.
Gligar is an exclusive Pokémon found only in Pokémon Scarlet. If you possess Pokémon Violet, you have two options to obtain Gligar: either team up with a friend in co-op mode or trade with other players. However, if you own Pokémon Scarlet, you are in luck as you can easily obtain a Gligar and evolve it into a Gliscor. To facilitate Gligar’s evolution, you will require a rare item called the Razor Fang, which is not readily available. But fear not, there is a relatively simple method to acquire one – through Pokédex completion.
When you successfully capture 110 Pokémon in the Kitakami dex, you will be rewarded with a free Razor Fang. While this may initially seem like a daunting task, it took me approximately 20 minutes of dedicated grinding and capturing previously unregistered Pokémon in the dex to achieve this milestone. Keep in mind that some Pokémon are shared between the two Pokédexes, so you may already have a higher count than anticipated. Obtaining the Razor Fang needed to evolve Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet should prove to be relatively easy.
Once you possess the Razor Fang, evolving Gligar in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet becomes a straightforward process. Simply give the Razor Fang to Gligar and level it up during in-game nighttime.
Don’t miss out on the adventures of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet – both games are available for purchase on the Nintendo Store.
