Feebas and Milotic: How to Find and Evolve Them in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Feebas and Milotic are two beloved Pokémon from the Hoenn region, and now you can catch them in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask. Unlike previous games, you don’t need to feed Feebas Dry Poffins to increase its beauty in order to evolve it. In this game, Dry Poffins do not exist. Instead, you’ll need to trade Feebas while it’s holding a Prism Scale to obtain Milotic. In this article, we will guide you on where to find Feebas, how to obtain Prism Scales, and the process of evolving your own Milotic.
Where to Find Feebas in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Finding Feebas can be a bit tricky as it is not located in the Crystal Pool where you may have encountered Milotic during the story. It actually resides in a cave below the Crystal Pool. From the Crystal Pool, which is situated at the top of the mountain in Kitakami, you’ll find a cave entrance in the southeast. Enter the cave and jump down to reach the water. Feebas can be found further down this watery path. While Whiscash and Barboach are common in this area, if you observe closely, you’ll spot Feebas nervously swimming underwater. They will emerge as you approach them.
Note: You may need to battle and defeat some Barboach to increase your chances of encountering Feebas.
How to Evolve Feebas into Milotic
In order to evolve Feebas into Milotic, you need to trade it while it’s holding a Prism Scale. If you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, you can easily trade with other players online. However, if you don’t have a subscription, you’ll have to trade with a local friend. Alternatively, you can use the trade code “03490349” created by YouTuber Austin John Plays to find other players willing to exchange Feebas for Milotic. Keep in mind that using this code will result in a one-way trade, and the other trainer may disconnect after the trade. This means you’ll lose your original Feebas-Milotic but acquire theirs instead. If you want to evolve a shiny Feebas or one with specific desired stats, it’s best to trade with a trusted friend.
You can find a Prism Scale on the shore in Kitakami. Simply head to the location indicated on the map, and you’ll find a Poké Ball containing the Prism Scale. Another way to obtain a Prism Scale is by registering a certain number of Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokédex, so make sure to catch as many Pokémon as you can!
Now that you know how to find Feebas and obtain Milotic in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, go out there and catch these stunning Water-type Pokémon!
