Larian Studios Announces Character Appearance Customization in Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 3
Good news for Baldur’s Gate 3 players – Larian Studios has revealed that patch 3 will bring the long-awaited feature of changing your character’s appearance. The developer confirmed that the major update, originally planned for today, will now be released on September 22 to ensure it meets expectations.
So, what can players expect from patch 3? In a recent Twitter post, Larian Studios disclosed that the Magic Mirror will be introduced in the upcoming update, allowing you to modify your character’s appearance, voice, and pronouns.
“With Patch 3 comes the Magic Mirror, which lives in your camp and allows you to change your Tav’s appearance whenever you’d like!” shared Larian Studios.
While the Magic Mirror grants greater customization options, there are certain limitations. It will not permit changing your character’s race, body type, or the appearance of the game’s core members known as Origins.
This addition has been highly requested by players since the PC launch, and its inclusion in patch 3 will provide an official character editor tool. No longer relying on mods, players can look forward to a streamlined customization experience.
