Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile Set to Launch in Spring 2024
Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will be releasing in the spring of 2024.
During the CoD: Next event on October 5, Sledgehammer Games provided new insights into the highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and also shared updates on the upcoming mobile port of Call of Duty: Warzone.
The game, which had its initial announcement in 2022, was initially planned for a 2023 release. However, the publisher has now confirmed that it will be launching in the early months of next year and will include the Rebirth Island and Verdansk maps from the start.
“In celebration of the over 45 million fans who have already pre-registered for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, the team announced that in addition to Verdansk, Rebirth Island will make its mobile debut and be available on Day One of the game’s worldwide launch,” the blog post explains.
“This fan-favorite map that has been meticulously designed exclusively for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile combines the best elements of Battle Royale and Multiplayer, offering fans another exhilarating and action-packed experience.”
Alongside the Battle Royale mode, the mobile version will also feature various multiplayer modes including maps like Shipment and Shoot House. However, specific details about these modes have not been unveiled by Activision yet. The mobile game has also undergone refinements to enhance performance and quality-of-life improvements such as touch controls and menus, as well as customizable options.
Players can now pre-register for the game by visiting the Warzone Mobile website.
Furthermore, Sledgehammer Games has announced that Season One of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will introduce a revamped ranked multiplayer mode, building upon the “modernized and enhanced” features of Modern Warfare 2.
