Greetings Xbox Insiders! We have an exciting new Xbox Update Preview coming your way. While this update may not have significant changes to the user interface, it includes important background improvements that ensure a high-quality and stable experience for your Xbox console.

We believe in keeping you informed about updates, even those with minimal visible changes, so that you’re aware of what’s happening on your device. Check out the details below!

New Features and Experiences

We have exciting news for Alpha users! You can expect something new in your Xbox Update Preview:

Edge

A random subset of users will be able to try out an experimental Microsoft Edge feature that blocks embedded content impacting browsing performance. We encourage you to provide feedback if you encounter any unexpected issues using the “Report a Problem” feature!

Implemented Fixes

Thanks to the hard work of our Xbox engineers, we are pleased to announce the following fixes included in this build:

Xbox Accessories App

• Fixed navigation issues when editing profiles with an attached keyboard.

Installation

• Addressed unexpected issues during game and app installations.

Settings – Personalization

• Resolved an issue where dynamic backgrounds would sometimes load indefinitely during the preview.

System

• Made various updates to accurately display local languages across the console.
  • Note: Preview participants may observe “odd” text on the console. For more information, please refer to our official support page.

Known Issues

We are aware of some issues previously mentioned in the Xbox Insider Release Notes. Our dedicated Xbox engineers are working on finding solutions, but it may take more time:

Audio

• We have received reports of intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you encounter such issues, please ensure that you have the latest firmware updates for your TV and other equipment. If the problem persists, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
  • Note: If the latest firmware updates do not resolve the audio issues, please submit feedback via “Report a Problem” immediately, selecting the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues.” Please provide as much information as possible to help us understand the problem.

Networking

• We are currently investigating reports of network connectivity issues upon booting the console. If you experience this problem, please report it via “Report a Problem” as soon as possible.

Remember to utilize the Report a Problem feature to keep us informed about any issues you encounter. Although we might not be able to respond to everyone individually, the data we collect is crucial for finding solutions.
