Fortnite OG Chapter 4 is coming to an end with an epic Big Bang event and a performance by Eminem. The wait for Chapter 5 begins on December 2, 2023 at 11:30pm ET.

The Chapter 5 downtime is expected to be around 10 hours, with the new update available on December 3, 2023 at 11:30am ET. After the update, it may take an additional hour or two for the servers to be fully operational, so players can expect the downtime to end around 2:30pm on December 2, 2023.

Can You Still Play Fortnite During the Big Bang Event?

This year’s live event and downtime will allow players to join any Creative games during and nine hours after the Big Bang event. However, certain game modes will be unavailable during and after the event, including Solo, Duo, Trios, and Squads Battle Royale, as well as Ranked games, Team Rumble, and Save The World.
