Alan Wake 2: ‘The Final Draft’ Update Includes New Game Plus And New Ending, Out Next Week

Alan Wake 2 Final Draft Update Coming Soon

Exciting news for fans of Alan Wake 2 – the Final Draft update will be hitting PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on Monday, December 11. This update includes a New Game Plus mode with an alternative narrative and nightmare difficulty, along with new lore to discover in the form of videos and manuscript pages.

According to Remedy Entertainment, the Final Draft update will feature a new ending to the story of Alan Wake, sparking speculation and theory crafting among the game’s dedicated fans. Players will also retain all weapons, charms, and character upgrades earned during their first playthrough, making it the ultimate challenge to try out the new Nightmare Difficulty level.

For those eager to dive into the update, all unlocked weapons will be found in the first available shoebox for the characters, so players should not expect to immediately start the game with all their weaponry. Additionally, the Final Draft update will include bug fixes and slight performance optimizations, further detailed in the complete update notes that will go live alongside the update on Monday.

The Final Draft update for Alan Wake 2 is set to go live at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET on Monday, December 11, on all platforms where the game is available.
