However, some of the searches for Hogwarts Legacy may be connected to the controversy surrounding Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s statements about the trans community. Warner Bros. Interactive, the game’s publisher, has stated that Rowling was not involved in the creation of Hogwarts Legacy, but her association with the Harry Potter franchise undoubtedly contributed to the game’s popularity.
