Google’s Top Trending Game Searches in 2023

As the year comes to a close, Google has revealed the top 10 trending game searches on its platform, with Hogwarts Legacy claiming the top spot.
Many users were likely searching for new trailers, gameplay, and information about the game. However, some of the searches for Hogwarts Legacy may be connected to the controversy surrounding Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s statements about the trans community. Warner Bros. Interactive, the game’s publisher, has stated that Rowling was not involved in the creation of Hogwarts Legacy, but her association with the Harry Potter franchise undoubtedly contributed to the game’s popularity.
